STEP 4: YOUR VOICE, YOUR PACE: ONE CHAPTER AT A TIME

After you’ve approved your outline and selected your package, the real journey begins—one chapter at a time.

For each chapter, you’ll simply send us a 5–10 minute message sharing the memories, reflections, and emotions tied to that chapter’s theme. You don’t need to write anything down or worry about structure—we’ll take care of shaping your voice into powerful, professionally written storytelling.

You can message us at your own pace, but it’s important to know:

The quicker you send your recordings, the sooner we can complete your book. If you’re eager to hold your finished memoir in your hands—or share it with family at a special event—we recommend staying consistent with your recordings. A daily rhythm works well for many of our clients.

This process is designed to be simple, meaningful, and deeply personal. It’s like having a conversation with a trusted friend—one who listens deeply and turns your spoken memories into written legacy.

So take a deep breath, press record, and just start talking. Your story is already inside you. We’re here to help bring it to life.

Because once your words are written, they’ll never fade.

Why This Works

Why This Works So Well:

  • Most people can speak 700–1,000 words in under 10 minutes—perfect for one chapter.
  • No need to sit and type or stress over structure.
  • Your natural storytelling voice shines through.

OTHER WAYS TO SHARE

If text messaging doesn't work for you, no problem—there are plenty of ways to get your story to us:

  • You can type up your memories and email them.
  • You can record a voice memo on your phone and text or email them.
  • We can even start with a phone call or video chat to walk you through everything and get you going.

Whatever feels easiest for you—we’ll meet you there.

Your story matters, and we’re here to help you tell it.

Remember: The average person speaks 1,200 to 1,500 words in a 7–10 minute voice recording. If you’re typing instead of recording, aim for a similar word count—at least 1,000 words per chapter—to ensure we have enough detail to bring your story to life.
